Afternoon Shift 1:00pm – 9:00pm

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? Talley’s is on the hunt for a motivated Laundry General Hand to help keep our Motueka laundry operations running smoothly and efficiently. If you enjoy working as part of a supportive team and take pride in doing a job well, this could be the perfect fit for you!

This position will commence as a full-time role for approximately 4–8 weeks to provide leave coverage. Upon the employee’s return, the role will transition to a casual position, offering ongoing opportunities to cover sick leave and annual leave as required. Full time work will not be available once employee returns 

This arrangement provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a full-time capacity, with the potential for continued flexible work thereafter.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our laundry team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring high standards every step of the way:

• Loading and unloading a wide range of laundry items
• Carefully sorting dirty and clean laundry
• Washing, drying, and folding garments to quality standards
• Managing garment bags to ensure personal items are secure
• Providing counter service for issuing and receiving personal protective equipment (PPE)

You don’t need years of experience – training is provided! We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Experience in a similar role (a bonus, not a must!)
• Great communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene products
• A strong understanding of health and safety
• A friendly, approachable nature
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support others
