Trainee Baader Technician

About the role
Join the critical engineering team and gain hands-on experience working alongside our experienced Baader Technicians and Marine Engineers. On a unique roster of 4-6 weeks on and off paid, providing an excellent work–life balance with a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 depending on your experience, skills, and qualifications.
As a Trainee Baader Technician you will be responsible for:
- Following the health and safety/food safety procedures
- Assist the Baader Technician with repairing and maintaining the mechanical equipment withing the factory.
- Complete daily job tasks to ensure the production is kept running at optimal levels
- Gain an understanding on the adjustments required to ensure that the desired conversion factors
- Working towards gaining a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Seafood Processing
For this role, you'll need:
- Mechanical/ Electrical Trade certified experience is preferred
- Experience in stainless steel tig welding, basic Hydraulics and Pneumatics’ is preferred but training can be given
- Problem solving skills and a “can do” attitude
- Motivated and energetic team players who get on well with others, with a proven work history
- Strong communication skills
