About the role

We are looking for a Senior Supervisor to join the team in our Motueka Shellfish factory. This is a Nightshift role, working Monday to Friday 4:00om to 12:00am.

Reporting to the Shellfish Production Manager, the role is a vital link within our process and requires you to work individually as well as part of a dynamic team.

As a Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Active involvement in the induction and training of all processing staff
• Overseeing the training and development of key personnel
• Daily monitoring of KPIs to ensure company expectations are being achieved
• Scheduling, inventory management, and helping to manage 40 plus staff, according to the season.
• Liaising with sales staff to ensure orders are being produced in a timely fashion and that the customer information is true and correct
• Implementation of regular quality checks to ensure the final product consistently meets the company standard
  

For this role, you’ll need:

• A proven track record in the shellfish industry with experience in either supervisory or management roles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which are crucial
• A good understanding of health and safety responsibilities, and the ability to assist in creating high awareness and compliance with safe operating procedures
• Good numerical Skills
• Tech Savy
