About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our Field team at our Ashburton plant during our Potato Storage Season (March 2026 – May 2026). This is a seasonal role, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, either Day shift - 6 ON 1 OFF roster or Night shift – 5 ON 2 OFF roster as directed. Remuneration will be based on your experience and qualifications.  

As a Potato Storage Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Moving pipes, bins, trays etc with forklift.
• Manually moving of pipes by hand (hook).
• Operating soil separation plant.
• Assisting with potato inspections (if needed) as trained.
• Scanning potato loads into storage shed (if needed).

For this role, you’ll need:

• Forklift (OSH cert) Mandatory.
• Must have a good understanding of written and oral English to enable safe operational process and follow instructions.
• High level of fitness as role requires shifting pipes.
• Ability to learn and understand / practice health and safety SOPs.
• Strong work ethic.
