About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our Field team at our Ashburton plant during our Potato Storage Season (March 2026 – May 2026). This is a seasonal role, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, either Day shift - 6 ON 1 OFF roster or Night shift – 5 ON 2 OFF roster as directed. Your starting hourly rate will be $26.60 per hour.

As a Potato Inspector, you will be responsible for:

• Inspecting Potatoes as trained.
• Removing defective potatoes, soil, stones & foreign matter. 
• Scanning potato loads into storage shed.
• Taking potatoes temperatures.
• Able to assist with moving pipes.

For this role, you’ll need:

• Previous agricultural crop inspection experiences an advantage.
• Must have a good understanding of written and oral English to enable safe operational process and follow instructions.
• High level of fitness as role requires standing all day.
• Ability to learn and understand / practice health and safety SOPs.
• Strong work ethic.
