Onwater Mussel Procurement Cadet

About the role

We are currently looking for an Onwater Mussel Procurement Cadet to join our Onwater Mussel Procurement Vessels team based in Havelock.

You will be working on a 4 ON 4 OFF roster pattern for 6 months, whereafter the right candidate will move fulltime onto our Procurement Vessels.

As the Cadet, you will be responsible for:

• Actively participating in the training that is allocated of onboard practices to meet certification requirements under supervision.

   

• Carrying out a variety of tasks which can include but not limited to, ensuring farms are seeded correctly, harvested on time and farms and floats are maintained properly while working in a safe manner through direction from the Vessel's Skipper.

For this role, you’ll need:

• Need no previous Vessel experience.
• To be proficient in English (Written and Verbal).
• Have sound knowledge of the Food Industry.
• To be active and physically capable to keep up with the demand of the tasks onboard.
• To be motivated to upskill through training and complete these in a timely manner.
• To be willing to participate in developing a good team culture onboard.
