About the role

Talley's Blenheim has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer at our Land Based plant.

You will work within a diverse and constantly changing operating environment, providing day-to-day maintenance at our Blenheim plant with a mix of reactive and proactive maintenance.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

• Assisting with mechanical engineering research, design, manufacturing, construction and operations
• Maintaining machinery, manufacturing equipment, mechanical installations and facilities

For this role, you’ll need: 

• To be a Trade Certified Fitter/Turner/Welder
• Minimum 4 years Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food production and/or relevant work experience and proven successes In Preventative and Reactive maintenance
• An eye for detail and identifying areas for Improvement
• Good time management, organisational skills and enthusiasm for getting it right
• Impeccable communication skills
