About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Talley's Blenheim. this is a full-time position with a guarantee of 40 hours per week.

Your hourly rate will range from $40-$50, based on your experience and qualifications.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the production equipment is kept in a condition that will allow full running, with as little downtime as possible, to maintain production. 
• Be a point of contact on all day-to-day maintenance issues for the production equipment and any other services equipment.
• Receive instructions form the Engineering Manager and Supervisor or others as the needs of the business requires.
• Ensure all work is completed and reported with the correct reporting paperwork and/or CMMS forms.
• Compliance with AS/NZS Standards and Regulations.

Qualifications

You will need:

• NZ registration as an Electrician or hold a Limited Certificate as an Electrician from the Electrical Workers Registration Board and at least two years of relevant work experience.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• An ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure.
• To be well presented, tidy and reliable.

Advance knowledge in the following would be beneficial:

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and plans.
• Motors and motor starters.
• Variable Speed Drives.
• PLC centres and PLC control.
• Refrigeration and control.
• 5 years plus.
