About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Talley's Blenheim. this is a full-time position with a guarantee of 40 hours per week.
Your hourly rate will range from $46-$50, based on your experience and qualifications.
As a Maintenance Electrician you will be responsible for:
- To follow up on assigned work daily and ensure it is executed safely and to the right standards, considering reliability, quality, food safety, productivity and cost.
- Calibration of industrial instruments throughout the plant.
- To proactively seek any opportunities for continuous improvement in all core functions.
- To maintain relationships with other departments and with relevant external parties.
- Be a member of the maintenance team. Observe the responsibilities of this function, its reporting requirements and profit responsibility.
- To ensure accurate feedback on all completed tasks and to identify any follow up actions required, with an emphasis on improving plant reliability.
- Receive instructions from the Engineering Manager/ Maintenance Planner or others as the needs of the business requires.
- Accurately maintain all documentation and records, both written and electronic.
- Be a point of contact on all day-to-day maintenance issues for the production equipment and any other services equipment.
- Ensure company documented procedures and business rules are conformed to.
- Take ownership of quality systems, food safety, RMP program and HACCP program.
- Ensure all work is done with the correct work request as per CMMS and all information is provided.
- Compliance with AS/NZS Standards and Regulations.
- Apply sound RCA and fault-finding techniques to improve plan reliability.
Qualifications
You will need:
- NZ registration as an Electrician or registered as Industrial Electrician. Current ERWB Practicing license required. National Certificate in Industrial Measurement and Control (Level 5) with proven experience advantageous.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- An ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure.
- To be well presented, tidy and reliable.
Advance knowledge in the following would be beneficial:
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and plans
- Strong knowledge of production procedures and maintenance practices
- Motors and motor starters
- Variable Speed Drives
- PLC centres and control, SCADA and Networks knowledge advantageous
- Refrigeration and control
- CMMS experience (Upkeep etc)
- Computer literacy
