We are looking for an engineering Manager to join us at our Blenheim branch. This is a full-time position. Providing Leadership to the engineering functions (mechanical, electrical, boiler and planning/admin) and provide expert engineering knowledge and experience to the Blenheim site including Havelock to continuously improve business outcomes.
As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting department heads and develop continuous improvement strategies
- Conduct regular site machinery needs, analyses and implement appropriate improvement plans
- Ensuring appropriate prioritization of work orders based on criticality and specific/seasonal business needs
- Lead, support and guide your high performing team
- Manage projects within time and budget
Who are you?
A proven leader with experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects, fostering collaboration, mentoring talent while balancing technical expertise with business priorities to achieve results.
For this role, you'll need:
- Engineering qualifications and proven experience in this field
- Proven management experience and ability to inspire, support and lead the team
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work under pressure and tight timeframes
- Strong communication skills
- Good understanding of health and safety, environmental and food safety responsibilities
- Highly organised
- Team Player
